FAQ

How are renderings priced?

Our pricing is project specific, i.e., it depends on the complexity of the project involved, the number of renderings and availability of information such as plans, sections and elevations.

How long does it take to create a rendering?

Our normal lead time for one rendering is 7-10 days, but rush jobs are possible depending on our current project schedule.

Typically, if a client sends the required digital information we can develop a specific project proposal to be emailed for review, detailing the renderings desired and the cost per rendering.  If digital files are not available, we can also work from a set of plotted drawings or hand sketches.  Upon approval, the client returns the signed proposal and work begins.

What is your process?

We begin with an initial consultation with our client to determine which view is most beneficial.  Plans, sections, elevations, photos and other information are then reviewed.  A project proposal detailing price and delivery is then submitted to the client by email.

Once accepted, we build a 3D model of the space and generate several wire frame views from the desired vantage point to best illustrate the project.  These preliminary views are then forwarded to the client for review.  Once a view is chosen, we continue to make any necessary adjustments and/or changes adding the specified material palette, site/interior details, etc.

When the model is completed and all corrections made, we then render the image at high resolution (4500x3500 @300 dpi typically) large enough to create a high quality 36” x 48” color print.  Entourage (cars, people, trees, etc.) are then composited into the scene.  Once completed, the finished rendering is sent for final review.

The rendering is considered finalized only when our client is 100% satisfied.

The high resolution image is then uploaded to our username/password protected FTP site for immediate download.  Upon request, we also burn the finalized image(s) to CD or DVD and forward to our client via
2nd day air.

What type of renderings does Urban Render specialize in?

We specialize in computer generated architectural renderings or proposed or existing architectural projects.  We create realistic renderings of exteriors, interiors, aerial or plan views.

What type of software does Urban Render use to create their renderings?

We begin with AutoCad files supplied by our client, then use 3DMax to create the 3D model.  Vray is used as a third-party plugin to render out the image.  Adobe Photoshop is then used to composite the final rendering.
